A 2.5 day spoon carving course running from Friday 7th (13:00 start) – Sunday 9th September (16:00 finish). The course will provide you with all the skills you need to carry on carving at home to produce beautiful and practical spoons.
You will learn how to safely and effectively use three simple tools – the axe, straight knife and spoon knife. We will start with a simple project before moving onto carving spoons. The length of the course allows you to really get to grips with the tools and the process.
The course is run in 60 acres of woodland and moorland at Kitewood Camping where you can camp for free as part of the course (other accommodation is available in the area if you don’t fancy camping). We will be working in the woods under a timber frame structure.
Lunch is included as well as a plentiful supply of tea / coffee and cake.
The course is limited to 6 people.
