Playing with wood

I’ve had an amazing few weeks making some really cool items for peoples gardens. The first project was some greenwood steps to help the homeowners over a garden bank. There was lots of head-scratching in this one but I am pleased with the results.

The build had minimal impact on the old bank.

Next was a set of cleft oak gates with a bit of Pembrokeshire stone walling. The cleft oak is from Pengelli woods, where we cut coppice with the support of the Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales.

Some Pembrokeshire bank sets the gates off. Can’t wait to see it when springs well underway and it all looks bedded in.
