Introduction to spoon carving

Spoon carving with clear instruction, quality tools, good company and delicious food in a beautiful setting.  What more could you want.

I am really happy to be able to share my knowledge of spoon carving by offering spoon carving courses at the lovely Coppicewood College.

What’s involved in a Spoon Carving Course?

The spoon carving course will give you the perfect introduction to carving.  You will learn how to use an axe, and a variety of knives safely and effectively.  We will start the day with a log and end the day with a spoon that you will be able to use in your kitchen forever.  Hopefully, it will be the first of many.  As well as carving technique we will discuss wood choice and sharpening.

What’s included?

We will supply you with everything you need for a day of carving.  This includes top quality tools and all the wood you will need.  A hearty homemade vegetarian lunch, tea / coffee and snacks will be provided.

I have made changes to the way I deliver my courses  in-line with Welsh government guidelines.  They are designed to keep you safe whilst having a minimal impact on the feel of the day. You can find my COVID 19 policy here.

Please note that there is quite a lot of talk publically regarding COVID passports. I disagree whole heartedly with the concept, and I will never ask to see any form of health passport as a condition of attendance on a course. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to get in touch.
