Introduction to spoon carving

Spoon carving with clear instruction, quality tools, good company and delicious food in a beautiful setting.  What more could you want.

What’s involved in a Spoon Carving Course?

The spoon carving course will give you the perfect introduction to carving.  You will learn how to use an axe, and a variety of knives safely and effectively.  We will start the day with a log and end the day with a spoon that you will be able to use in your kitchen forever.  Hopefully, it will be the first of many.  As well as carving technique we will discuss wood choice and sharpening.

What’s included?

We will supply you with everything you need for a day of carving.  This includes top quality tools and all the wood you will need.  A hearty homemade vegetarian lunch, tea / coffee and snacks will be provided.

I, David Hunter at The Coppice Plot, am proud to stand against the COVID Pass. I believe that they are discriminatory and will divide society. Courses at The Coppice Plot are inclusive and based around respect and empathy, all are welcome and regardless of future legislation I will never ask for proof of vaccination or a negative lateral flow.
